Dr. Brezina completed a clinical fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. Prior to this, he earned an MD/MBA and completed an OB/GYN residency and two years of internal medicine residency at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
Dr. Brezina’s research focuses on the role of genetics within reproductive medicine, recurrent pregnancy loss, optimization of in vitro fertilization, and fertility preservation. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 scientific peer reviewed articles, including the British Medical Journal, and more than 50 scientific abstracts.
He currently serves on the editorial boards of multiple scientific journals including Fertility and Sterility and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. He regularly delivers educational talks at major professional society meetings and recently served as the program director for the postgraduate course on recurrent pregnancy loss at the 2014 and 2015 American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Clinical Meetings.
Dr. Brezina is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both general OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
